California State University, Northridge Classes start August 23rd

Although the California State University system is in serious financial budget crisis mode, classes are starting for matriculated students. CSUN will have limited classes available for summer 2011 semester. Applications should already be in for admissions for fall 2011.  Check the CSUN website for the ever changing deadlines. http:www.csun.edu

The nine community colleges in the Los Angeles area are also affected by the California State budge crisis.  Enrollment is open. Classes are open to all who complete the registration process on time.  Don't delay!  http:www.lamission.edu

Los Angeles Unified School District School starts September 7th

Don't be caught off guard!  This year students will see an increase in class size and a loss in familiar teachers.  Many librarians have been cut to 1/2 day or are not returning at all.  Transitions are difficult for adults as well as children, be patient.  Read more http:www.lausd.net
